How to use it

• Only with the product named on its pick, not your whole range.
• Online, link the badge to that product's entry on our Picks page.
• Keep it as it is: no recoloring, cropping or added words.
• Don't suggest we tested the product in a lab or that a doctor endorsed it.
• We may withdraw a pick if the product or its formula changes. If we do, please stop using the badge within 30 days.

How a product becomes a pick

1. It does what it says. The brand's claims are ones it can back up, and they match what dermatology and health organizations say about the ingredients.
2. It's honest about what's inside. The full ingredient list is published.
3. It fits the job. It suits the skin, hair or routine we recommend it for.
4. It's fair value for what you get at its US price.

Our editors choose picks from product information, ingredient lists and published research. We don't run lab tests, and we never say we did.

Picks can't be bought

No brand can pay for a pick. A brand we work with can win one only on the same criteria as everyone else, and when it does, we say so next to the pick. Sponsored stories, free samples and affiliate commissions are always labeled where they appear.
